A full contrast of the gem and the earth. All cast glass sculpture exploring the crystalline transparent gem in the host rock of earth. Deep and light showing transformation and smoothness among the depth of stone.
Part of my “Vesicular” series of pours cell structure glass. Like lava has millions of bubbles that cooked in place while molted creating a subterranean material.
Hand made in the hydroelectric powered studio of Jeremy Sinkus in Shelburne Falls , Massachusetts
All cast glass melted together, carved and polished.
