Supported by a custom welded steer stand this large cast glass “Aural Abalone” shows off its colors and transparency. The dichroic glass is like magic and changes colors through the day and as the viewer moves by. A record size abalone measuring 10 inches was collected over a decade ago in California and with my series of mold techniques I am able to capture all the details of the shell and add some of my attributes as an artist.
